Some you win ...
Jun. 2nd, 2007 05:21 pmToday's highlight was going back to Lidl for the first time in over a month, and finding that they now stock organic and fairtrade products. Plus (and more importantly, although it shouldn't be for the sake-of-the-planet-and-the-people) they are selling German red wine!!!!
I have never been able to get hold of German red wines in this country - although I admit I have not looked in proper wine places, just supermarkets. But there it was, sitting on the shelf, Dornfelder Pfaltz, at 4.95 a bottle.
It has been a good week for wine, as last night we tried for the first time a dry Muscat - previously only drunk by us in sweet, fortified and sparkling varieties. But it works very well as a dry wine.
We also stocked up on lambrusco rosso at Lidl - I find it a bit sweet, so cut it with fizzy water, and summer is here!
On the downside, still cannot fix putting videos into LJ.
