Occupational Health, and Life
Jun. 20th, 2007 09:56 pmI realise that I am never going to keep up with
a) live journal
b) life
c) financial management at work
d) anything else at work.
So will, instead, enjoy
a) as much of lj as I keep up with
b) life,
d) anything at work, including financial management, that I enjoy.
I eventually had the phone-discussion today with occupational health (occassioned by my manager, who is 'worried' by my health issues'. Me too. But I have to live with them).
Conversation concluded
a) yup, I have bad hands.
b), nope, employer won't be sued - they are not bad due to hours cataloguing / bid-writing
c), yup, GP is doing all the right stuff (for those of you following the Saga of The Hands): what I thought was 'oddly painful Dupuytrens' has resolved itself (in the left hand) to another Trigger finger, which has failed to respond to cortisone (or rather, pain has gone back to acceptable, triggering still there). GP has written to surgeon
d) employer should not expect me to type more than 2 hrs per day, because that might make it _worse_, and then I _could_ sue.
e) never mind the 6-weeks post-op, 8 to 12 expected in my case. Feel miffed that last time 1 had 4 weeks, and extension to 6 weeks was grudging. Did not heal properly, and had to have physiotherapy ...
Good job I can type on the Blackberry with my nose!
